Upgradation Policy. Plan Changes, Proration & Gateway Rules.
Clear rules and procedures governing tier upgrades, automated prorated billing through SureCart, gateway authorization, and company liability protections across all subscription plans.
Plan Upgradation & Billing Terms
This policy details how clients can scale their service levels on www.dscholarweb.com, including automated proration, billing gateway handling, and terms protecting service continuity.
Automated Plan Upgrades via SureCart Platform
All plan modifications are powered seamlessly through our e-commerce platform, SureCart. Clients can upgrade their active subscription package directly by logging into the Customer Dashboard.
- Immediate Higher-Tier Provisioning: Upgrading a plan immediately unlocks higher-tier features, increased server resources, expanded storage, or enhanced website maintenance options.
- Automated Proration: SureCart automatically calculates the unused portion of your existing billing cycle as a credit and applies it toward the price of the upgraded plan, ensuring you only pay the net price difference.
- Subscription Cycle Realignment: Upon a successful upgrade, your billing cycle updates to reflect the new tier commitment with immediate effect.
Role of Payment Gateways
Upgrades are executed through our authorized secure gateways, PayPal and Razorpay, which process all adjustments safely under strict encryption standards.
- Instant Authorization: Gateways authorize the calculated prorated charge instantly to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Automated Mandate Updates: Upgrades dynamically adjust your recurring billing authorization on PayPal or Razorpay for future billing cycles without requiring manual account setup.
No Mid-Term Downgrades
While tier upgrades are supported immediately, mid-term downgrades to a lower service tier are strictly prohibited during an active subscription commitment period.
Clients wishing to transition to a lower tier must allow their existing commitment term to complete before selecting a lower-tier plan for future renewals.
Scope & Resource Protection
Upgrading a plan expands service limits but does not retroactively apply to prior work or past billing cycles.
DScholar Web reserves the right to review and verify upgrade requests to ensure technical feasibility and prevent system or resource abuse across shared web infrastructures.
e-Workspace Upgrades
Upgrading your subscription tier instantly enhances collaborative capabilities, team user limits, and project storage within your e-Workspace portal.
Workspace expansion takes effect immediately upon payment confirmation by PayPal or Razorpay.
Domain Commitment Continuity
Upgrading a subscription plan seamlessly carries over your existing domain management terms.
All domain administrative holding periods remain tied to your primary subscription agreement as outlined in our Domain Ownership Policy.
Failed Upgrade Charges
If a prorated upgrade charge is declined by PayPal or Razorpay, the upgrade request will immediately pause, and your account will remain on its existing active tier.
DScholar Web is not liable for service delays resulting from bank rejections or payment gateway authorization failures during upgrade attempts.
Interconnected Corporate Policies
This Upgradation Policy forms an integral part of our operational legal framework and works in conjunction with:
